Floating on the 【Floating Orb】, drifting through the night sky for a while, I had moved quite far from the hidden church.

Perhaps because the surrounding buildings are only about three stories tall, the church stands out significantly.

Is it a chapel, I wonder? It's about ten stories high, and the buildings adjacent to it on the same grounds are also quite large.

Even from a distance, it’s clear that something Y-shaped is attached to the tip of the roof.

It was the same at the orphanage, and perhaps that Y-shaped object is a symbol, similar to a cross.

What’s a bit curious is that, despite its large scale, it’s located on the outskirts of the city.

I had assumed churches would be in the city center, but…

Is it because the lord and the church have bad relations, or is it just this city?

It’s quite big.

It’s not square-shaped, so it’s hard to say for sure, but just looking at it, it seems like it could be about 2 kilometers square.

And there’s a wall surrounding the entire city.

It’s a sight I’ve never seen in Japan.

In the center of the city, lights are visible.

I can also spot a few people, so maybe that area is a shopping district or something?

It’s a little tempting, but I might attract attention, so I’ll pass on it for now.

Then…

There’s a corner on the exact opposite side of the church, surrounded by a wall even though it's within the city.

The other areas are somewhat densely packed, but here, every house is large with spacious gardens.

It’s more like a mansion than a house.

I’ve seen somewhere that rich people’s homes are big horizontally rather than vertically.

This is exactly that.

There are soldiers patrolling the streets with lights, and there's a feeling of wealth in the air.

By the way, 【Floating Orb】 is amazing!

Since it’s so easy to move, I ended up rising higher than expected. I’m about 30 meters or higher now.

Isn’t this about the height of a ten-story building?

I’m also moving at a speed comparable to a scooter.

I feel like I could go higher or faster, but... I’ll stop here.

I think I’ll be fine, but if I fall, it could be deadly.

With a bit of a shock at the 【Floating Orb】’s unexpected potential, I reached the area above in just a few minutes.

There were soldiers on the wall, and I felt a bit nervous crossing it, but luckily they weren’t looking up, so I was safe.

In fact, they weren’t even watching above at all.

Not just the ones on the wall, but the soldiers in the city too.

Maybe flying humans don’t exist here.

Well, they normally don’t, but still...

Could this be a sign that I should become a master thief?

Anyway, taking advantage of the unguarded sky, I circled around and soon discovered an exceptionally large mansion in the corner with many mansions.

It’s at the end of the main street, surrounded by a high wall.

There are guards at the gate and also at the back.

It’s not just the outside.

People carrying lights are patrolling the garden and inside the mansion.

It might not be the right word to say "discovered."

It's making quite a statement.

This level of security… could this be the lord’s mansion?

The lord’s mansion was huge.

It was about the size of a small elementary school, including the playground.

First off, the mansion itself is large, but there are several other buildings too, probably for guests.

There are also buildings that look like warehouses, a soldier’s barracks, a training ground, and servant quarters.

It’s small, but there’s a Y-shaped roof, and there seems to be a chapel of sorts too.

There are also various other things I can’t quite figure out...

And day or night, soldiers patrol the garden and the area around the mansion, with dogs accompanying them.

However, neither the dogs nor the soldiers could detect 【Hideout】.

Since I was on the 【Floating Orb】, I didn’t leave any footprints or traces, and even though I was sneaking around the grounds at night, I wasn’t noticed at all.

If I had been spotted, it would have been game over, so I made sure to be cautious and had no issues.

I should be fine, though...

“Give it up already and come out.”

The voice of a haughty girl, about 15 or 16 years old, came through the monitor, just like it did yesterday.

 As I sighed and raised the Holy Coin, a sudden drum roll began to play. And then—the reel started spinning at an incredible speed.
