Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 67
The Mesaria Kingdom’s First Queen has three children.
The First Prince, the First Princess, and the Fourth Prince, Liesel.
The First Prince—who is also the Crown Prince—was born to the First Queen, and that First Prince himself is also highly capable. With no anxiety whatsoever about the succession, the Mesaria Kingdom is secure.
That is how every country sees it.
Apparently, for the past few generations, many royal marriages have been to foreign nobility, but since there’s no worry about the succession in this generation, the policy seems to be marrying into domestic nobility and once again strengthening the ties between the royal family and the nobility.
The First Prince has already married, and although it has not yet been announced publicly, Seriana and Liesel’s engagement is also part of that policy—helped along by the fact that the two of them get along well, too.
And Liesel’s older sister, the First Princess Elisha, has also already finalized an engagement to a domestic noble, with the wedding planned for next spring.
It’s all wonderful news.
However, there is someone who tries to put a stop to that wonderful story.
It seems that a former princess of a country that was incorporated into the Empire relatively peacefully a few years ago—now a duchess—has fallen for Elisha’s prospective husband, and through the Empire, she apparently involves diplomacy and keeps butting in whenever she can.
Of course, no one intends to listen to her.
So why is the Empire involved in what looks, at first glance, like nothing more than a jealous crush?
Because the other party—the Marquis House of Salion—and its territory, the Mercenal Domain, are strategically important to the western side.
There are other continents in this world.
But there is not much exchange.
Because there are monsters in the sea.
Not just “shark movie” levels from my past life—apparently there really are things on the level of krakens and leviathans.
When I heard that, I swore to the moon that I would never get on a ship.
Perhaps due to ocean currents, there is a route—very limited—where monsters do not approach, and by traveling through it they conduct trade with other continents. But there are only two houses on this continent that ignore all of that and cut straight through seas where those dangerous monsters roam.
One of them is the Marquis House of Salion, located at the southern end of the Mesaria Kingdom, holding a vast domain that faces the sea.
The Salion family’s armed fleet.
It is famous enough to be material for stories, and for the Empire—also possessing enormous coastal territory—it is something they want so badly they could practically salivate. They seem desperate to establish ties, and are pushing that duchess, saying they would accept her even as a concubine.
That prospective husband—Edgar Salion Mercenal, heir to the Salion house—normally stays in his domain, but in the second month of summer there is a national-foundation-anniversary-like holiday, and during that period he comes to the royal capital.
And aiming for that, the duchess also comes to the royal capital.
They cannot ignore her, but there is no chance they will meet her demands either, so every year they deal with her in a suitably halfhearted way. But with the wedding coming next spring, it seems Elisha has decided that this year she will go in person and drive her off.
Edgar is the same age as the First Prince, and also his close friend.
Because of that connection, he is close with Liesel as well—and, I was told in the carriage on the way from the academy to the royal palace, that this is why they made a request of me this time, for the sake of the two of them.

Now then, because of all that, I’m currently in Princess Elisha’s room.
Even if a prince is accompanying me, it’s still going into the room of a princess of an entire kingdom—and yet how quickly it was settled.
Last night, I was asked about today’s schedule, but no matter how I answered, it was probably already decided that this is how things would turn out.
And after only brief greetings, we ended up starting the treatment right away.
We’re doing it on her bed, and as you’d expect of royal bedding.
Just the right amount of spring, and an absurdly smooth feel against the skin.
I think what I’m using now is already quite good, but this is on another level.
In my past life I used a pretty high-performance mattress, but isn’t this even better than that?
How much does something like this even cost…?
No, no. Focus.
I bring my awareness back to the head resting on my lap.
I’m giving her a lap pillow. Her maids are on either side, and Seriana and Liesel are watching nearby at a table while having tea.
Of course, the two attendants attached to Elena and Liesel are also here.
Being watched by this many people is unsettling, but it’s a simple procedure—just the face and hair—so there shouldn’t be any way to mess it up… but still, my partner is a princess.
I have to concentrate properly.
I’m also curious why she’s been squeezing my butt this whole time, but… focus, focus.
