Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 47

After finishing a quick light meeting, we headed for the dungeon.

As expected of a celebrity, while we were sprinting through the shallow levels, I could see awe in the eyes of the adventurers passing by Luban.

Then they spotted the women behind him and their jaws practically dropped, they saw Alec next and looked shocked, and finally they noticed me and went, No way?!

Because of that time I got mistaken for an undead, I almost ended up with an epithet too.

“Floating Spirit”…

At this rate, am I going to end up with something like “Spirit Behind You” or what?

I’d like to be able to move up a bit more, but they’re strong.

Luban and his companions, too…

First, Professor Luban.

He’s a slim but tall guy—around 180 cm—and a pretty handsome one at that.

Apparently he can use magic, but right now he’s fighting with just a sword.

Even though it’s a slender blade, he’s slicing things apart cleanly, so it’s probably a fine weapon.

He’s reliably finishing each one off in a single strike.

Next is Minea.

How tall is she, anyway?

She’s wearing these ridiculously bulky boots, so I can’t tell precisely, but maybe around 170 cm?

She uses a short spear, and the moment you think the spearhead has pierced, it explodes.

She’s probably got some kind of blessing too.

She’s got a hatchet sheathed at her waist, but she isn’t using that.

She’s a pretty powerful woman.

And then Marida.

She’s small, but like Minea she’s up front, swinging twin swords as she fights.

Watching from behind, she gets close enough to make you nervous, but the way she takes them down without a hint of danger really shows how high her combat skill is.

And that’s not all—she can use magic too, supporting Luban and Minea here and there.

Her weapon range is different, but she might be a similar type to Elena.

Last is Kiira Wimble.

The fourth daughter of the Wimble Viscount family, Luban’s first companion, and apparently the reason he aimed to become a noble in the first place—so he could marry her.

A beautiful woman with long blonde hair.

Yeah, even if someone told me she was a noble lady, it would fit perfectly.

The other three are wearing armor, but Kiira—same material, apparently—wears a jacket instead.

She hasn’t had a turn yet, but I hear she can use healing magic.

And on top of that, there’s Alec too…

Yeah, there’s no opening for me.

We kept pushing forward, and we’re almost at the upper layer.

“Hm? A herd of boars up ahead. There are a lot!”

Even while thinking about other things, I’m still doing my job properly.

Yeah.

My role isn’t to fight, so this should be fine.

“How many?”

Luban stopped and asked for the count, so I stepped a bit forward and counted them.

One, two, three…

“Eleven.”

“I see…”

After hearing the number, Luban seems to be thinking about something.

What is it?

It’s a lot, but it shouldn’t be a big deal…

“Perfect. We’ll show you how we fight. Alec, stay back. Minea, Marida, let’s go!”

“Sera, get behind me.”

Just as I was told, I moved behind Kiira.

Alec came closer too, shoring up my side.

I don’t know why, but I feel like I’m being protected.

And the air around us is cold.

It’s neither hot nor cold inside the dungeon, but this is… a blessing?

Maybe he’d confirmed we’d moved, because Luban—who’d been looking our way—turned forward and signaled to Marida.

Receiving that, she clacked her twin swords together, making a sharp sound.

Hearing it, the boars noticed us and came charging, but…

“Red Wave—Sekiha!”

I was watching, wondering what he’d do, when red light and heat poured in from ahead along with Luban’s shout.

“What the hell is thaaaat?!”

I yelled without thinking, but this… is that magic?!

A wave of flame—some four or five meters across—surged straight toward the boars.

Even though we’re keeping our distance, the heat makes my skin sting.

And this is with Kiira’s blessing…?

Just like the phrase “boar-headed charge,” the boars in this world rush in right away, but maybe the heat, or the light, or both startled them, because they’ve stopped in their tracks.

“Red Light—Shakkou!”

Luban immediately followed up, firing magic again, but… he just shot a beam out of his hand…

The beam pierced straight through four boars in the center all at once.

On the left side of the split herd, Minea and Marida pounced in, finishing them off one by one.

On the right, Luban hunted down the rest by himself.

…Isn’t this way too different from the magic I know?
