This world has magic.

Well, since there's magic, it's not surprising that it exists, but its existence has been properly confirmed.

Magic is divided into smaller components called "mana," and it drifts through the air. It is especially concentrated in places where creatures are densely packed, such as deep within forests and mountains, dungeons, and bustling city areas.

Though it takes a little effort, methods for utilizing it have been established.

One of these uses is as an energy source for homes, such as for heating, water, air conditioning, and lighting, similar to how gas and electricity are used.

Solar panel-like devices are placed on rooftops, wires are connected to them and spread throughout the interior, and lighting and other devices are connected to the system. However, this system is expensive and mainly used by nobles and the wealthy.

The mansion I live in is the mansion of the Zelkis family, Count Müller’s household.

It is one of the wealthiest households in the territory.

Naturally, this system has been implemented here.

And there is another problem, aside from the cost.

While the floors and walls are fine, the ceiling also has wiring running through it, making maintenance quite a hassle.

In this world, there are no cranes or high-work vehicles used in construction.

Human-powered labor is employed using ladders and step ladders to carry out the work.

I should start the conversation.

“What? A snack?”

“No, that’s not it… I’ve been looking for you. After you’re done eating, come to the young lady’s room.”

Hmm? I wonder what this is about?

When I arrived at Seriana's room, Elena and Alec were waiting.

Then I was suddenly told about a dungeon.

“Yes. It’s located in the adventurer’s guild in the west district. Did you know about it?”

“I knew there was an adventurer’s guild, but I didn’t know there was a dungeon…”

In the west district of the city, there are facilities for adventurers and mercenaries, such as the adventurer’s guild, weapons, and tools.

I had heard that Elena and Alec are also registered as adventurers and sometimes go to dungeons, but it’s located in the city…?

“Actually, it’s beneath the guild. Since you two have already used some of the beneficial items, you’ll go to the dungeon to try them out in real life. How about going with us? You said you wanted to become an adventurer, right?”

Wow, this girl really remembers what people say…

Originally, one of my plans was to go to a large city and make a living as an adventurer.

This current life isn’t bad, but since this is a fantasy world, it would be a lie to say I’m not interested.

And the best part is, I wouldn’t be going alone but with skilled party members.

This sounds like a great opportunity.

It’s tempting, but…

“I’m 8 years old, though. Is that okay? Didn’t you say you had to be 14 or something?”

“Oh? You remember that well. But it’s fine. The dungeon belongs to the lord of the territory, and the guild is just managing it on his behalf. Of course, we wouldn’t let you go if it was dangerous, but….”

She pauses and looks at me.

 As I sighed and raised the Holy Coin, a sudden drum roll began to play. And then—the reel started spinning at an incredible speed.
