Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 197

 Two days after the attack.

Finally, the summary of the damage and the recovery of the defeated monsters' bodies were completed.

First, the damage outside of Lutol.

There was almost none. The majority of the monsters had concentrated on Lutol. The ample reinforcements sent, along with the many adventurers stationed in the frontier village, allowed us to have enough forces and to take preemptive measures early on.

The southern base had a lot of monsters flowing along the river compared to other places, but thanks to Luban's great efforts, it actually suffered the least damage. He has firmly established his position with this incident, which is cause for celebration.

Now, about our town, Lutol.

There were many injured, both seriously and lightly, but no fatalities. Additionally, both the town and the agricultural area to the west remained undamaged!

If anything, the only issue was the depletion of potion stocks due to generous use and distribution to other areas. The fact that there were no deaths was partly thanks to this, but until the stock is replenished, we've asked the adventurers to limit their activities. Fortunately, with it being winter, this should be manageable.

Next, the results.

The number of monsters defeated was close to 600. Including those that were missed, the number increases, but the minimal damage can be considered a remarkable achievement.

Not all of them were perfectly defeated, so only about half or less can be used, but still, it's more than enough for the craftsmen of this town. Reinforcements have been requested from neighboring towns and the capital. Since this area is under the jurisdiction of the Zelkis domain, we can't monopolize all the profits, but we intend to make full use of what we can. The craftsmen have major work to do over the winter, and the merchants will be able to procure a large amount of leather goods from the monsters, although it won't be in time for this winter.

The seriously injured were taken to the aid center led by the lord rather than the church-run clinic, where they are receiving treatment. Traditionally, the local governor, the adventurer's guild, and the church would handle such matters, but this time, the church was completely excluded. Had there been many deaths, the church could have intervened, but there were none. The adventurers were equipped with their own healers, and Celiana, Elena, and Fiora went to help with the treatment.

Receiving treatment at the aid center wasn't mandatory; they could also be treated at the clinic, but it's natural for people to prefer being treated alongside those they fought with. Moreover, the fact that three well-known upper-class beauties from the town were helping there added to the appeal.

Well, naturally...

That was the deciding factor, so not only the seriously injured but even those lightly injured and healed with potions came to the aid center for treatment just in case. The church was completely sidelined. This means they lost the opportunity to buy the holy coins the adventurers earned in this operation.

Apparently, they acquired around 50 holy coins in total. While some may save them for gacha (random draw) purposes, not everyone does. They made sure to promote their services, and just yesterday, they already purchased nearly 20 coins. They headed to the aid center today, aiming for further purchases.

In the end, despite the ordeal, the overall outlook is quite positive.

I woke up.

Looking out the window, I saw that the sun had already set. Maybe I overdid it with my second sleep...

I slowly reached out from the futon and touched my forehead.

"Hmm..."

Yeah. Probably normal temperature.

The morning after the attack, I had a fever and collapsed. Despite wearing thick clothes, staying outside all night in the winter wind wasn't good. I still had a fever in the morning, but now I don't feel any fatigue in my body. Should be fine, right?

However, Celiana... has really good bedding.

For the past two days, I've been sleeping in a corner of her bed, which I think was one of the many gifts she received for her engagement. It's much better than what we used in the capital or the royal city.

"...Is everyone there?"

Peeking into the next room through the wall, it seemed everyone was there. They were sitting on the sofa, chatting.

Looking at myself in my sleepwear... well, it's too late to worry about that. This should be fine.

"Good morning!"

I got out of bed and onto the floating ball placed right next to it, and exited the bedroom. They must have already noticed I was awake, as they didn’t seem surprised.

They're not easily startled...
