Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 210

The sound of Alec and Edgar clashing wooden swords echoed across the deck.

"Haah!"

Edgar swung down from above.

"Sei!"

Alec met his attack, not by blocking, but by striking upward from below.

They continued their close combat for a while, then distanced themselves, only to clash again, repeating this pattern. There seemed to be some kind of formality in their sparring, as they didn't rely solely on thrusts or brute strength.

Though the deck was more stable than the open sea, it still swayed slightly. Yet, they were energetic.

Three days had passed since entering the river and heading north.

If everything went as planned, they would arrive in the city of Alza tomorrow and disembark there. Afterward, they would travel by carriage to the royal capital, and they seemed eager to regain their senses dulled by the ship journey, practicing continuously since lunch.

Moreover, while it was still fine, it wouldn’t be surprising if it started raining soon. If they were going to practice, today was the day.

At first, the women watched with interest, but after 30 minutes, they retreated to the cabin. Considering the strong sunlight, they held out well.

I wanted to do the same...

"Yoisho."

As the effect was about to wear off, I moved over to them and activated [Prayer].

They had asked me to make it as close to actual combat as possible by casting [Prayer], and I agreed. Initially, I thought it would be interesting, but I didn't expect it to last this long.

Since I had agreed, I reluctantly used an umbrella as a parasol to accompany them. This might be the first time I used this umbrella properly.

"Phew... Let's call it a day, Alexio."

Finally satisfied, Edgar put down the wooden sword he had been swinging. When they started, the sun was directly overhead, but now it was nicely tilted.

It had been a long time...

If I had a hobby like fishing, I could have passed the time, but then again, there were monsters in the river, even if no big catches. So, I had no choice but to watch.

Edgar Saryon Marcenal. Elisha's husband and the next marquis.

With his short, neatly trimmed blond hair and tanned skin, he looked like a man of the sea, which he probably was. Despite being topless now, he wore tailored clothes impeccably when boarding the ship. He was a proper nobleman with a proper education.

Yet, he had the stamina to endlessly swing a sword with Alec. If they fought seriously, Alec would likely win, but Edgar was a good match and skilled with the sword. Through the [Fairy’s Eye], I could see that he had not only physical strength but also a significant amount of magic power.

In terms of ratio, it was like reversing Elena's physical strength and magic power. Perhaps a strong arm was necessary to manage the sailors...

I heard that some princess from somewhere had a crush on him, and it made sense.

"Hey, Alexio, why does she glare at me?"

While I was lost in thought, he seemed to think I was glaring at him.

How rude...!

"That's just my thinking face. I'm not glaring at you. Oh, but... she might be angry that we've been practicing for so long. Since I agreed to it, I can't back out now."

Alec explained my expression with a wry smile.

"Tch... You noticed, didn't you...!"

He probably ignored it on purpose. Maybe he wanted to move his body after being on the ship for so long.

"I must apologize then... Elisha told me not to get on her bad side..."

"I'm not really angry, you know?"

Though I did feel like kicking him once or twice...

"Well then... Seria, how about asking about the [Amber Sword]?"

"Hmm?"

Alec, who was also wiping his sweat after taking off his shirt, suggested. But does this guy know something?

It's a self-defense item for women, though...
