 For a while, I had become a spectacle, but after watching me intently and listening to Teresa's explanations, the two seemed satisfied and finally released me.

Afterward, we moved the conversation to Flora’s lap.

Last time I stayed, it was Minéa who took the lead in treatment, while Flora’s care was a bit more relaxed. This time, however, Flora is the main focus.

I can’t give my all to everyone; it’s too exhausting.

"Are the two of you planning to spend your time here the same way as last time?"

"No, this time both the princess and I are here for something like a vacation."

Although we’ve come all the way to Zelkis, like Teresa said, I don’t think we’ll be heading to the dungeon. In spring, there are a lot of dungeon beginners, so the shallows are crowded with people practicing. Even the upper and middle levels, like the ogre zone, are full of people.

I do want to try out the Snake’s Tail in the dungeon, but it doesn’t feel right to shove aside the local adventurers for my own hunts. And venturing deep where there are fewer people is... a bit frightening.

So, this time, I plan to relax at the mansion. Lately, I've been leading trainees and using a lot of mental energy... sometimes it's nice to not think about anything, even though that doesn’t feel all that different from usual. It’s still refreshing.

Teresa could find plenty of work to do if she wanted, but the outfits for her public appearances haven’t arrived yet. After moving from the capital to Riana, she’s been working non-stop. While she finds it rewarding, she understands the importance of taking a break now and then.

I can’t imagine her lounging around like me, but I’m sure she’ll figure out how to spend her time wisely.

Minéa and Flora exchanged glances upon hearing that.

"Is there something going on?"

It didn’t feel like they were plotting anything sinister. Maybe they wanted to introduce me to a guest?

"Seriana, would it be alright if we had my daughter assist you during your stay?"

Daughter... Luciana, perhaps? I’ve never spoken to her personally, but as an attendant...

"Luciana, is it? If I recall, she’s a year younger than the princess. I don’t see a problem with it."

Teresa seems to approve.

"Are you sure?"

"It’s part of her education for the future. As the daughter of a countess, she could very well serve as a royal attendant. While it’s too early to make any decisions, it’s good for her to gain various experiences."

"I see."

As I nodded to Teresa's words, Minéa and Flora continued.

"Seriana and Eizen had their futures decided early on, but Luciana still has freedom. That’s why we want her to gain various experiences now."

"Hosting guests is part of that experience, but in this town, female guests—especially children—rarely visit."

"Ah... that’s true."

We did have female visitors occasionally, but during my time here, none stayed at the mansion. This town is pretty remote...

Starting off by attending to an adult male guest might be a bit too much of a challenge.

"We won’t have you do anything special for her. We’d just like you to accept her. What do you think?"

"Understood. I'll take her in."

I’ve been a bit tired from dealing with children lately, but if I don’t have to do anything in particular, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Unless I have work in the morning, like leading the trainees, I usually sleep until I wake up naturally.

During that time, Teresa is often working, so I usually handle washing up and dressing on my own. Although, during her breaks in the office, she helps me with things like hair and nail care... now that I think about it, when we stopped overnight on the way here, she did help me with all sorts of things from early morning... well, I’ll leave that aside for now.
