Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 135

Floating above the capital and drifting into the grounds of the mansion.

Even though it's the capital, I didn't usually fly this conspicuously high, but being in my hometown, I can afford to do so without worry.

Right now, with so many people in the capital, especially newcomers, it's best to avoid unnecessary trouble, and this is the quickest way to do it.

Continuing past the roof and circling around to the back, I see that the window of Seriana's reception room is open.

She must have sensed my return with her skill.

"I'm home!"

After calling out, I enter the room to find Seriana, Elena, and Alec, the usual three, along with Liesel, Jighard, and Fiora.

"Welcome back. You're a bit early. Couldn't you use an umbrella?"

They're asking about how things went earlier than expected.

Well, I did leave with a bit of enthusiasm, shouting, "I'm off!"

"Yeah, it went well. Managed to pass through the passage safely. But after that, I got to see the strength of the ogres... Who were they?"

Hmm... looking back, it's frustrating.

Rather than fighting each one carefully, it might be better to dive in decisively, but if I take even one hit, I feel like I'll die.

Well, the umbrella did its job, so it's fine, but...

"Ugh..."

"Ogres, huh? Aren't they the kind of opponents you're good at handling, with your size?"

Jighard speaks up as I growl.

He'd probably wipe them out in an instant.

"It would have been fine if it was one-on-one, but there were too many. Just diving in wasn't enough."

It's going to be a while before I figure out a strategy and try it out.

"Ogres tend to appear in the middle layer here. The adventurers under my command, about a dozen or so, challenged them. Serah, are you okay alone?"

If we can gather enough people, that's probably the best way to go about it.

Liesel, my boy.

"I can't gather too many people because I spend less time exploring each time. And not everyone is willing to indulge my whims, you know."

Go here, go there, be a shield, pick this up, pick that up, and now let's go home. Who does she think she is, the princess of whims?

Since I have a bird's eye view, it's efficient for me to give orders. And if I find an opening, I can usually defeat most monsters in one blow. That's why I delegate the shield duty to others, and staying off the ground is so I can quickly dodge if needed. There are reasons for all of it. But even so, it might cause friction with unfamiliar partners, so I can't just team up with anyone...

"By the way, what about the princes? With Jig and the others here, what's going on?"

Even though they're engaged, they're not married yet.

They're living under the same roof, and it seems they eat meals together, but they don't go back and forth between each other's rooms. I guess they're being careful not to nitpick over trivial matters.

So, I haven't seen his face since we arrived at the mansion.

"Finally got the personnel together to head to Rutor. We leave in two days. And I want to borrow Alexio and Jighard to coordinate with the adventurers already there. He must have gathered most of them, right?"

Liesel says this, glancing at Alex.

"I reached out to adventurers within the capital's jurisdiction because there are many of them. I thought I should be the one to facilitate the introductions, right?"

"I see."

It feels like it's finally happening.

So, many of the adventurers in town will be going there, huh? Will the dungeon be less crowded then? If so, I might be able to relax a bit more.

"I allowed it because I don't want unnecessary factions forming due to being stingy with effort. You'll stay in this room for about a month since you won't be returning during that time."

With Seriana's own skill, she can detect enemies, so there's hardly any danger, but isn't Elena alone a bit too vulnerable?

...I wonder if having me around would actually be beneficial?

"Okay."

Well, that's not really for me to decide, is it?
