Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 106

"It seems like it's about time to come back," he said.

The night was deepening, and having finished dinner, I took a bath as well. As I was about to go to bed, there was some commotion downstairs.

They must have arrived as anticipated.

I activated Akame's eyes and leaned out of the window towards the direction of the castle. Through obstacles like trees and walls, I could make out a group being led by horseback slowly approaching.

"Hm?"

"What's wrong?"

Noticing a difference in their numbers and procession, I activated [Fairy Eyes] just to be sure, and indeed, there were several individuals unusually strong.

Stronger than Elena? Perhaps a bit.

"There are some strong ones. Are they from the knight order?"

"Probably. And there should be the royal guard as well. They're said to be accompanying the female royalty, so the young lady might receive similar treatment."

"I see."

The female knight who accompanied me to the scene of the illegal transaction was like that. She seems to be part of the royal guard, but is she strong too?

"Let's go too," he said.

With that, Alex swiftly tidied up the table and stood up.

"Alright," I replied.

I smoothed out the wrinkles in my clothes, slipped on my sandals, and followed Alex out of the room.

Since the master of the house was present and it was a formal occasion, I refrained from using [Floating Orbs]. We were about 500 meters away, so it would take around 4 to 5 minutes to arrive.

Walking slightly briskly alongside Alex, we reached the first floor. In the foyer, the servants were already lined up.

We joined them at the end of the line, and we could hear voices outside. It seemed like Seriana and the others had just arrived at the mansion. Everyone bowed their heads, so we followed suit.

Soon, the doors opened, and they entered.

We made it just in time.

It seemed we were supposed to report to Grandpa first.

One thing that caught my attention was a person I didn't recognize. Soldiers didn't enter the mansion, so was this person from the royal guard?

"Alex, Sera, you two wait in the room," the voice instructed.

"Yes."

Looks like everything went well with that voice.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting," Seriana said as she entered the room.

We had been waiting for about 30 minutes in the room. Just as I was starting to feel sleepy, Seriana, Elena, and another woman, clad in armor, walked in.

Seriana was wearing the same white dress as before, but this time she had a large red flower ornament at her chest, something I hadn't seen during our departure.

I think I've heard about giving such things as a proposal or something. Are they also done for engagements?

"It won't take long, so please bear with us," Seriana said, perhaps noticing my condition.

"Okay," I replied.

Alright... I'll endure it.

"I've successfully concluded both my birthday celebration and the announcement of my engagement to Liesel. We had already done the groundwork, so I knew there wouldn't be any interference. Along with that, I also announced the matter of the new territory. With the support of both the Müller family and the royal family, the development will be well-known," Seriana explained.

"I see, I see," I nodded.

The development itself had been gradually progressing since Grandpa's time, but now it was officially a national project. With this, the prospects for success were high, and we could expect returns. Support and participation from elsewhere should also increase.

"The wedding will be held in the royal capital on the third day of the anniversary festival two years from now. At the same time, Liesel will establish the ducal house, and the area east of Lutol will become the duchy," she continued.

The wedding in the capital, huh? Well, it would take about a year or so to build a city, so it's reasonable.

"In the meantime, since I can't afford anything happening to me, she has been dispatched from the royal family as my escort," Seriana added, referring to the woman in armor.

She pointed to the armored woman behind her.

"This is Veera Desant, a member of the royal guard. Nice to meet you," Seriana introduced.

Veera seemed to be in her mid-thirties, with calm brown hair that reached her waist. Despite her gentle appearance, she appeared to be stronger than Elena, whom I had seen through the window earlier. It's said that only daughters of high-ranking nobles can join the royal guard, so she must come from a good family.

"There's one more person, but I'll introduce you to her another time. They came today to be introduced to Grandfather and the others, but they usually come to the mansion in the morning and return at night," Seriana explained.

So it's business as usual then.

"They'll be spending more time in the rooms too, so get along well, okay?" she added, looking especially at me.

Is she implying we should be good at hiding or something?

"Yes, of course," I replied.

Well, I'll handle that part smoothly.
