Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 124

Jighart was born as the son of a mercenary in the western region. It seems he had been on the battlefield since childhood, where he somehow learned to use magic by witnessing spells flying around and occasionally being grazed by bullets.

Utilizing that experience, he developed a method of casting magic that mitigated damage to the extent of being akin to being hit with a cushion at worst, by peppering it with small, controlled bursts of magic to make the power discernible.

It seemed he tried it for the first time, but I managed to pick it up in about a week using that method, so it's not to be underestimated.

However, how many people are capable of adjusting the power to that extent?

Moreover, it was a one-on-one instruction, which was quite inefficient.

"Well, it's good that you've managed to learn magic in some form or another. Fiora, Jighart, you've worked hard," Celiana commended.

"It was a good way to pass the time," Jighart casually replied.

"It wasn't bad realizing that the basics don't work for everyone," Fiora added.

The two lightly responded to Celiana's praise.

Looking back, they had quite a luxurious lineup of instructors. Having one-on-one instruction from a top-class mage on the continent, not just the country... It felt somewhat undeserving for such minimal progress.

"Thank you both again," Celiana said, expressing gratitude once more.

"I'll have to think of a different teaching method for you. Look forward to it," she added.

Jighart waved his hand dismissively, but perhaps he had inadvertently hurt Fiora's pride. She seemed motivated.

"O... okay. Got it..." Fiora stuttered.

Maybe I should read some poetry... There should be texts in Lady Celiana's room in the capital. Borrowing those might be a good idea.

"Oh, Sera. Your mother has been invited to a tea party tomorrow and she wants to take you along," Celiana interjected as the conversation lulled.

"Huh?"

Lady Minea, huh... Maybe she's meeting up with friends before returning to her estate next week?

"Do you have any plans for tomorrow, my lady?"

"I have no scheduled visitors. Since we'll be in the capital for a little while longer, I might do some shopping. Decide what you want to do for yourself."

"I got it. Then, I'll go with Lady Elena for shopping."

Even though she says shopping, she usually has items brought from her trusted merchants... I've accompanied her once before thinking we were going shopping, but it turned out to be a whole day affair with multiple merchants coming and going, spreading out their wares. Elena and the maids seemed to enjoy it, but for someone like me who doesn't like spending too much time shopping, it was quite a tedious experience...

Nothing dangerous like seeking refuge in a hideout should happen inside the mansion, so I'll take this chance to escape.

"Then, I'll inform her later."

"Okay."

In the morning, I rose from the 'hideout' and made my way to Celiana's bedroom, but her bed was still inflated. It seems Celiana hasn't woken up yet.

Since finishing at the academy, she's been sleeping in, but upon reflection, this might be the only time she can laze around. Once we return to our estate, there will be plenty to do, and marriage is also on the horizon. After marriage, there will be the busy task of developing the new territory.

I could slack off if I wanted to, but knowing her, that's not an option...

It's tough...

Growl

My stomach seems to agree.

"Ugh..."

"Nh..."

As I attempted to leave the room to go for breakfast, she seemed to sense my presence and was starting to wake up. I shouldn't disturb her, so I better leave the room quickly.

"Good morning."

As I exited the room, Elena was already waiting, offering a quiet greeting.

"Good morning. You're up early."

"I'm always up at this time. Is the young lady still sleeping?"

"Yeah. She seemed to wake up a bit, but I think she fell back asleep."

"I see. Well, that's good. You're accompanying Lady Celiana today, right? Finish your breakfast early then."

"Okay."

It seems we're departing in the morning, so I should hurry up, finish eating, and get ready.
