Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 128

 “Is it about time?”

Seriana murmured as she watched the monitor inside the hideout.

It had been ten days since they left the royal capital.

They had spent two nights under the care of the lord in the first territory they entered, then departed. Repeating this routine twice more in other territories, today was finally the day they would cross the mountain.

“Yeah, should we head out? Do you want to bring the snake?”

Thanks to the patrols of knights in each territory, they hadn’t encountered any monsters or the bandits that were rumored to exist, and Seriana’s skill hadn’t reacted to anything.

However, just because nothing had happened so far didn’t mean the mountains would be safe.

While Seriana’s skill worked from within the hideout, she might still need to give instructions, so it was better for her to be in the carriage.

“Let’s do that. As for the stuffed toy… yes, I’ll bring it.”

“Let’s take some blankets too. Unlike inside, the carriage can get quite cold.”

Though the armored carriage had basic heating, they would likely pass through many sunless areas, making it even colder. I should dress warmly too.

“Alright, let’s go.”

As soon as they left the hideout, Seriana began preparing to activate her skill, while Elena informed Alex of the situation.

“Seria, are you dressed warmly?”

“Yes.”

She wore a cape, a knitted hat, a scarf, and a belly warmer. Normally, I wouldn’t wear gloves and socks since they don’t suit my combat style, but I put them on. I’d soon have to take them off, but I was ready.

“Miss, since you’re about to use your blessing, can you inform the captains and the other carriages?”

“Got it.”

As I opened the carriage door, a cold wind rushed in. I quickly stepped outside and shut the door. Those outside must be having a tough time... The mountain path was scarcely traveled, and snow still covered it, so we had to move slowly to avoid slipping.

“Seria, start with the captain.”

While I was deciding where to go, Alex gave me directions.

“Got it.”

I passed the count's carriage and headed to the captain of our escort team as instructed.

“Hm? You’re Lady Seriana’s attendant. Is something the matter?”

Noticing my approach, he turned around before I spoke. This stern-looking guy… he’s quite perceptive.

“Yes. The young lady is about to use her blessing, so I came to inform you. If anything happens, our Alex will give instructions.”

“Understood. I’ll follow the instructions.”

“Thank you. See you.”

Though I wasn’t involved, it seemed the escorts had discussed things in advance, so the conversation went smoothly.

Next up was Zighart’s team.

Until yesterday, our carriage was at the front, but today the count’s carriage, equipped with two powerful long-range attack devices, led the way. After greeting the driver and knocking on the carriage door, I was quickly let inside.

“Is it time?”

Before I could speak, Zighart asked. Looks like they’re ready too.

“Yes. The young lady is about to use her blessing, so if anything happens, Alex will give instructions. Can you hear me?”

Unlike the captains on horseback, we were inside the carriage. I hoped they wouldn’t miss any details.

“Yes, Zighart, open the rear window.”

The count, who was listening, gave an order. They already had a blanket prepared, so their preparations were thorough.

“Is everything still clear?”

Fiola asked while showing the “Dragon’s Breath.”

“Yes, nothing so far. There hasn’t been any trouble on the way here either.”

“Alright. Then we won’t use it yet.”

Saying this, she tucked the “Dragon’s Breath” back under her collar. It shouldn’t deplete, but she wasn’t going to activate it yet.

“Okay. Take care.”

Next was the carriage with Riesel’s team.

Well, they’d only need to fight if we got caught in a trap, so they probably wouldn’t have much to do.
