Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 141
"Ugh!"
With a strong effort, I removed a part from the magical lighting fixture installed on the ceiling of the entrance hall.
The hall has several lights installed on the ceiling at intervals of a few meters, all controlled by a master device. The core component of this system is the part I just removed.
"It's... quite heavy."
It weighs about 3 kilograms. It's a triangular prism with sides roughly 10 centimeters long, fitted behind the lighting fixture. The drop is about 7-8 meters, so I have to be careful not to drop it. I hold it with both hands and slowly descend.
"Here you go."
"Oh, thanks. Can you fit this new one in? Do you know how? Fit it into the frame and then turn it in the direction of the arrow."
I handed it over to the waiting technician, who explained how to install the replacement part.
"No problem, no problem."
I ascended again and followed the instructions. As soon as I heard a click, the entire hall's lights began to illuminate gradually.
It's almost January, which means spring is coming soon.
With more guests arriving during this period, we're doing maintenance all around the mansion. Just like last year, I'm a big help in reaching high places thanks to my floating device.
I just finished with the entrance hall lighting. The ceiling is about 7-8 meters high, making it tough to do without special equipment.
In addition to the lighting, I'm also helping with the inspection of air conditioning and various other systems.
"Last year, I left for the capital halfway through, so it seems everyone took care of what was left, which apparently was quite a challenge.
Well, it's typical for this time of year.
At least this year, I'll try my best to do various things."

"I'm exhausted~..."
I've been working hard. It's closing time for me today.
Seriously, helping out again makes me realize just how vast this mansion is.
The tasks themselves aren't too difficult, but navigating this expansive mansion back and forth really takes a toll mentally.
It's only just past noon, but I don't want to do anything else.
The floating device seems to reflect that, swaying like a tipsy person. ...I might get seasick.
"Good job. Rick came by earlier to report. He had a lot of praise for your work."
Seriana, who was alone in the room, offers words of encouragement.
I wonder if Rick came while I was having lunch.
Unlike Elena and Alec, who are employed by the Mueller family, I have a personal employment relationship with Seriana.
Seriana takes care of all the expenses and procedures involved with me, including living expenses.
So, technically, I don't need to do any mansion work.
Today's task was approved by Seriana after going through Rick, the mansion staff, and eventually reaching my dad. ...It's not a big deal, but it seems my dad keeps accumulating debts to his daughter.
"Yeah, right? I don't feel like doing anything today..."
I answer while lying down on the sofa next to Seriana's desk.
"By the way, where's Elena? Is she alone?"
She doesn't seem to be in the restroom, and it's unusual for her to be alone without her guards.
"Do you remember the Rubans? They've arrived," Seriana continues.
"Oh..."
"They've booked accommodations outside for today and plan to leave first thing tomorrow, but they wanted to inform us. They prefer not to make a big fuss, especially since they also hold titles of nobility. So, I sent Elena with a letter of introduction to Liesel."
Given that we're already attracting attention here, they probably want to avoid standing out even more. The Rubans are as famous as the Zigharts, and they have a good reputation in certain circles, so perhaps they're trying to keep a low profile.
"Were you okay being alone in the room?" I ask.
"It's my family's estate, isn't it? Besides, you were here in the mansion, so there was no problem," she replies, opening a book.
Well, she's usually the first to notice any danger, especially in her own family estate. So I guess she's flexible about it.
...Maybe I should read a book too?
