 "Ah, welcome back."

After unloading the luggage from the carriage and finishing the arrangements, everyone went off to other tasks. I remained behind to watch over Seriana's room. About an hour later, Seriana and the others arrived at the room.

"You kept us waiting. Was it comfortable resting back there instead of here?"

"I didn't have permission to enter other rooms."

The mansion in the capital had two rooms: a private room and a bedroom. However, the main residence had an additional parlor connected to two rooms further inside. While Alex ventured beyond occasionally, I usually only went as far as the parlor.

"The hideout is still pending, but we've finished sorting the luggage from the carriage."

Even though I said that, the items from the hideout were also organized, just waiting to be taken out of their cases and put onto shelves. If there were any issues, it would be the weight, perhaps?

With that said, I headed towards the door leading further inside.

"I'll take things out from inside. Serah, I'll leave the hideout to you."

It seemed like Alex was willing to handle the heavy lifting.

He activated the hideout on the wall and invited us inside.

First, we took everything out of the hideout, Alex carried them, and Elena tidied up. Somehow, we finished in about 20 minutes.

I did help out, but whether it was books or clothes, it was more efficient to carry them together, so I didn't feel like I contributed much... I just made some tea.

"I'll be acting as a liaison and will have to make occasional trips. I'll rely on you during those times," Alex, sitting beside me, says.

It took about ten days by carriage from here to Rutorle, but it might be a bit faster alone.

"Jighardt and the others will stay in a separate building on the estate for a while and explore the dungeon. After that, they'll move to Rutorle too. "I'll be going to the capital next spring, in March, but other than that, I won't be leaving here."

That means my tasks won't change much.

"Yes. As long as you don't leave the town, you're free to do as you like. There's a school for commoners, but... you probably don't need it, but would you like to attend?"

"Commoner's school... I believe it's where they learn reading, writing, and basic arithmetic in the mornings only. I don't need that."

"I'll pass. I'd rather have permission to explore the upper levels of the dungeon."
