Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 91
"Hey, you alright there?"
My ears are still ringing, but I heard that voice.
It's low but clear, quite a nice voice.
I still can't see, but he doesn't seem to be making any aggressive moves, so I should be safe even without sight.
"My eyes are still seeing stars."
Lowering my altitude, I approach while giving a casual response.
"Haha... Sorry about that. Didn't expect to see a human flying in the sky... Startled you there, didn't I? I've taken care of all the creatures in the hall. Take it easy until the clean-up's done."
He seems friendly.
I don't sense the same hostility I felt when he stopped me.
I can't sense it, but the closer I get, the more I can feel his monstrous strength.
But from what I've heard, he's more like a hermit who avoids socializing, rather than a battle maniac.
"That crest... You're from the Müller family, right? Quite impressive to be carrying a brat like that all the way here by yourself."
He seems to have noticed the crest on my apron.
Seems like he declined the nobles' invitations, but maybe he's not completely uninterested.
"I'm Cera from the Müller family. Are you 'Flash'?"
Can't quite grasp the image of the person I'm talking to, so I'll keep it safe.
"Well, that's what they call me... I'm Zigwald. How are your eyes holding up?"
"Yeah, they're getting better."
Still seeing stars a bit, but I can manage to see now.
From a distance, all I could tell was that he had black hair, but let's see the face of the illustrious "Flash"!
Starting to look forward to it a bit.
He's quite tall.
Not as big as Alec, but maybe like Luban?
Wearing a thick jacket.
I can feel confidence in the fact that it's not armor.
"... Yeah."
"... What's up?"
"It's just... the beard."
And then, his face...
Messy hair and a scruffy beard.
Looks dirty.
He's in his mid-40s, but it's hard to tell with that.
"Oh... about ten days or so? I've been underground the whole time. Took a bath in the water, but..."
I see.
Looks like personal grooming was put on the back burner.
But spending ten days in the dungeon is incredible!
"You were there for ten days?"
"Yeah, this time was for collecting in the lower levels. If it were just me, it'd be one thing, but there aren't many who can go that far as support. So, we gather them up while the dungeon's closed and dive in."
"I see."
Nodding, I glance behind me and see three hand carts, all packed with luggage.
Not just artifacts, but also the bodies of monsters that haven't been crushed.
Certainly, it's impossible for one person to carry all that, but I've heard they sometimes take rookies or apprentices under 14 to shallower areas. It's not like anyone can go to the deeper levels where stronger monsters are.
So, hiring adventurers as support during the closure seems to be the plan.
They said adventurers were taking a break during the closure, but this guy must have the power to push through such challenges.
This old man...
"There's a lot there. Impressive!"
"Huh? Oh... how does it look, I wonder?"
He seems somewhat dissatisfied.
It's not just flattery, but maybe he's used to hearing this kind of thing?
"Jig-san, we're done."
As we continue with trivial conversation, the adventurers return after finishing their tasks.
Even though they're support, these folks seem to have enough strength to stay in the lower levels.
"Yeah. We're heading back, but what about you? We've cleaned up this far into the dungeon, and there are still few monsters left, I think..."
Hmm...
Seeing this guy's monstrous capabilities kinda killed my enthusiasm...
We barely had any combat, but I've learned a bit about the capabilities of the Fairy Eye, so I think today is enough.
"In that case, I'll head back. Can I tag along with you?"
"Yeah. Let's go."
It hasn't been that long, and the way back seems crowded, so there probably won't be any more fights, but maybe I'll get to see some magic.
I mean, I did see that earlier, but I had no idea what it was...
Well, I shouldn't get my hopes up too much, right?
