Gather Divine Coins and Gacha! - Chapter 89

The morning after pulling the gacha, I headed to the adventurer's guild to dive into the dungeon.

"Good morning!"

Navigating through the crowd, I finally reached the reception desk and greeted the staff.

"Hey there, Miss Sera."

"I heard, but it's really crowded today."

During the commemorative festival, the dungeon had been closed. They probably didn't want to gather adventurers for search missions in case of casualties, and mobilizing troops might have discouraged tourists, so they decided to just close it altogether. Adventurers used those three days as rest days to prepare for their next adventures.

So, the next adventure was today, the day after the festival ended. The request reception was probably closed during the festival, which might explain why there were also many merchants around besides adventurers.

"It's the usual, I guess. But this year, there's a bit of a special circumstance. You know about 'Flash,' right? He's been holed up in the lower levels gathering stuff, and today's his return date. That's what everyone's after. Normally, the dungeon is closed during the festival, but someone of his caliber gets special treatment."

"I see..."

"Flash" is a moniker held by one of the top adventurers within the alliance. While he's on par with Rubin in terms of reputation, he's more specialized in combat, and it's said that he turns down invitations from nobles and honors to focus solely on combat.

Lately, he's been frequenting the dungeon in the capital, and Alex mentioned once that he'd like to meet him... I wouldn't mind seeing him too.

"We're going to the upper levels... There are more people than usual, so watch out for friendly fire."

Submitting the exploration permit, I headed towards the entrance of the dungeon and received a warning.

Well, I'm more on the receiving end than giving, but... that hurt.

"Got it."

Nodding in agreement, I waved my hand and headed towards the dungeon.

【Fairy's Eye】

An item I drew yesterday, meant to be worn on the ear. When activated, a milky white sphere appears overhead, with eyes opening within it, revealing patterns reminiscent of bloodshot eyes.

It's not just a little creepy; it's a full-on horror item.

The effects are still unclear. When I used it last night, I saw something like membranes of red and green along the contours of the human body.

While Elena's was the thickest... still only a few centimeters, followed by Alex, then Seriana. I'm hypothesizing that it might be how magical power and life force appear. Red for magical power, green for life force.

The goal of today's dungeon exploration is to test and verify this hypothesis. While the presence of magical power alone can be discerned by Akame's eyes, the strength and life force, among other things, are beyond my understanding. Of course, it's not everything, but it can serve as a rough guide for whether to fight or flee.

"That was the plan, but... looks like I'm out of luck..."

There are too many adventurers around, and no monsters.

Everyone seems too eager.

Even though it would be a verification opportunity for the Fairy's Eye among adventurers... unlike monsters, I can't fight them, so their strength...

"This is troublesome..."

There were people even at my usual favorite spot where no one usually goes.

It feels like an in-game event period in an online game.

"Good morning!"

Just as I was pondering what to do, a party of adventurers who had just finished defeating a monster looked at me, and one of them caught my eye.

Since I might as well gather some information, I raised both hands and approached them.

"Hey. You're from the Mueller family, right?"

"You know us well. It's quite crowded today, isn't it?"

"Everyone spent their money at the festival... And after skipping a few days, their bodies are rusty, so they probably want to warm up lightly in shallow waters."

"Haha. My Alex was drinking alcohol the whole time too."

He's quite friendly and willing to chat.

I see... Even though it's only been a few days, their lives are at stake.

It's understandable that people would gather in easier areas rather than heading straight to harder hunting grounds.

Rehabilitation is necessary.

"Oops, looks like they're done. Well, we're off!"

The other members behind me seem to have finished dealing with the monsters.

"Alright then. Take care!"

"Yeah. You too."

We wave goodbye to each other.

It's a peaceful world.

But, what should I do now?

From what I've heard, it seems like everywhere is pretty much the same today.

I guess I'll go and check it out anyway?
